File Transfer

Sending files to Service Web Offset is easy and can be done in three different ways:

  • FTP
  • AppleShare
  • E-Mail

The preferred way to transfer files to us is via FTP for PC users, and via AppleShare for Mac users. These methods are faster and more reliable than E-Mail and will insure the integrity of your files.

When uploading files, please keep the following in mind:

FTP

Limit names to 31 characters and use only letters and numbers.

  • Do not have trailing periods in the file names and avoid using spaces, commas, slashes, etc.
  • Mac users have to stuff their files before uploading, to prevent loss of forks.
  • If possible please compress the files either by zipping them (Windows users) or stuffing them ( Mac Users ).

AppleShare

  • Limit names to 31 characters and use only letters or numbers.
  • Do not have trailing periods in the file names and avoid using spaces, commas, slashes, etc.
  • If possible please compress the files using Stuffit.

When uploading files please contact our Digital Services Department, to inform us you are sending files, and let us know of any critical information or concerns about your project.
